Love, war, myth and reality: how far have we come from the days of Achilles?

Inspired by Homer’s Iliad, with its tales of Troy, of heartbreak and of devastation, NMT Automatics, in collaboration with CPUGRD, present: Tempus Fugit. Fusing myth and modern experience, we explore the effects of trauma and war; asking the questions: how and why do we tell battle narratives, and how do they affect our perception of warfare and the roles of soldiers and their partners, both present and past? In this workshop we unpick the processes that combine movement, mask, music, text, and academic research to create relevant and vital work.

Scotland, The British Museum, a Quiz and Troy!

Superb news that our collaboration with The Centre for the Public Understanding of Greek and Roman, based at St Andrews, has got confirmation, meaning we shall be returning to Scotland, in March, to continue developing our new show inspired by the Iliad!

Before that we will be performing an extract of the work at the British Museum, on the 22nd of February, as part of a ‘Creative responses to Troy’ event to go along with their main Troy exhibition.

We’ve also got out our fundraiser quiz, on March 1st, with some fantastic raffle prizes lined up!
