During Covid, in order to deal with the difficulties and constraints that the theatre industry was under, we formed a seasonal branch of our company, naming it Grotto at my Door. In a project called, Santa Claws and Paws, we appeared as Santa and Jingles the Elf, accompanied by Suki the Reindog (our goldendoodle) to over 200 children’s doorsteps, ensuring we could provide Christmas magic without breaking Covid rules. This was a hugely successful endeavour and as well as the visits, we have since produced 2 successful Christmas shows!
When Santa Got Stuck… in 2021, was performed at community venues Gnome House and Walthamstow Trades Hall, and Desperately Seeking Santa… in 2023, was performed at The Drayton Arms and The Rosemary Branch Theatre. We will again bringing this show to venues in 2024, as well as once again spreading magical joy around peoples houses with visits. You can find out more at www.grottoatmydoor.com.
